My name is Mark Antonuccio. I've worked at newspapers for over 20 years. I started my career in Brownsville, Texas. Brownsville is a small town on the Texas-Mexican border near the Gulf coast. Like at most small papers, I did a little of everything. My job included designing ads, newspaper layout, political cartoons, illustrations and even the maintenance of the film processor. At that time, computers were primitive and the web hadn't been invented yet.

The times have changed. I still do illustrations and design pages for print, but with the advent of the web, news content is no longer confined to the printed page. It is bursting out everywhere, and I need to keep up with the times. That is the main reason I am here today. I am way behind the curve, and racing to keep up with the changes.

I have lived in Las Vegas for over 12 years. I'm married to my wife Elly who was born and raised in Indonesia. She now works as a dealer for a luxury hotel and casino in Las Vegas.

I love to hike. Most of my excursions are in Red Rock and the Spring mountains. I've found that Las Vegas is a city of two extremes. One extreme is the energy and excitement of the strip, the other is the austere nature of the desert. I prefer the latter.
